WobbleFit ("we", "our", "the app") is a fitness and workout tracking application for Android and iPhone. We respect your privacy and are committed to protecting your personal data. This privacy policy explains how we collect, use, and safeguard your information.
Data stored locally on your device:
All of the above data is stored on your device using local storage (AsyncStorage and SQLite). It is not uploaded to our servers, except for the limited information you send to the AI coach, described below.
Before the first AI request, the app asks for your permission and names what is sent and to whom; nothing is sent unless you agree. WobbleFit's coach features (building a plan for you, the Coach chat and the weekly check-in) are powered by Claude, an AI model made by Anthropic. When you use one of these features, the app sends the following to our server (Google Firebase Cloud Functions, region Mumbai), which passes it to Anthropic to generate a reply:
We do not send your weight, height, body stats, progress photos or water intake. We do not store the content of your requests or the AI's replies on our server; your chat history stays on your device. Anthropic processes the request to produce the reply under its commercial terms and does not use API data to train its models. To limit abuse, our server keeps an anonymous per-install count of AI requests per day (Firebase Anonymous Authentication and Cloud Firestore); it contains no personal information. Firebase App Check (Google Play Integrity on Android, Apple App Attest on iPhone) is used to confirm requests come from the genuine app.
The coach's suggestions are generated automatically and are not medical advice. If you are pregnant, injured, recovering from surgery or have a medical condition, consult a doctor before exercising.
If you use Scan food, Posture & form or Equipment help, the photo you choose (and any text you add) is sent to our server and on to Anthropic's Claude to produce the answer. Photos are used only for that request: they are not stored on our server, not added to your backup, and not used to train AI models. Posture and form feedback is general fitness guidance, not a medical assessment; please take photos in clothing you're comfortable sharing. Nutrition results are estimates. Meals you choose to log stay on your phone (and in your backup if you use Backup & Sync).
If you choose to sign in with Google or Apple under You → Backup & sync, WobbleFit stores a copy of your app data in Google Cloud Firestore, linked to that account. With Sign in with Apple you may hide your email; we receive only the relay address Apple gives us. The backup contains your settings and profile answers, workout plans, workout history (including per-exercise reps, time and estimated calories), weight entries, water intake, logged meals, reminders and Coach chat. Progress photos are never uploaded. The backup is only readable by you when signed in to that account. Deleting your account also revokes WobbleFit's Sign in with Apple access. You can sign out at any time. To delete your backup and account, use You → Backup & sync → Delete my backup & account in the app, or follow the steps at wobblefit-app.web.app/delete-account.
WobbleFit Plus removes ads and raises the daily AI coach limits. Payment is handled entirely by the App Store or Google Play; we never see your card details. Subscriptions are managed by RevenueCat, which receives your purchase receipts and an anonymous app user ID (the same random ID used for the AI usage counters) so the app and our server can check whether Plus is active. The voice trainer uses your phone's text-to-speech engine. Songs you add to your workout playlist are picked with the system file picker and played from your phone; WobbleFit does not upload them or scan your media library.

Free users see ads from Google AdMob. On iPhone, the app asks for permission (App Tracking Transparency) before AdMob may use your device's advertising identifier; if you decline, ads are not personalised. In the EEA and UK you are asked for consent first and can change it under You → Ad privacy choices. WobbleFit Plus subscribers see no ads.
From version 1.3.4 the app uses Google Analytics for Firebase to understand how WobbleFit is used, so we can fix confusing screens and make workouts and reminders work better. It records which screens are opened and a small set of app events: onboarding steps, whether notifications were allowed, reminders being scheduled or opened, a workout being started, resumed, finished (with its length in minutes) or quit, a summary card being shared, and the rating prompt being shown. Each event comes with an app-instance identifier generated by Firebase, your device model, operating system and app version, and an approximate country from your IP address.
Analytics events never include your name, email, weight, height, body stats, photos, chat messages, food logs or any text you type. We have turned off the collection of your device's advertising ID by Analytics and do not use Analytics data for advertising or ad personalisation. Google processes this data on our behalf under the Google Analytics for Firebase terms; it is kept for the retention period set in our Analytics settings (no longer than 14 months) and then deleted.
The camera is used for Progress Photos, the photo tools above and barcode scanning. Progress photos are stored only on your device and never uploaded. Photos for the photo tools are sent only as described under Photo tools.
If you allow notifications, the app schedules local notifications on your device: workout reminders on the days you choose, an evening streak reminder on a planned day you haven't trained yet, a gentle note after several days without a workout, your weekly check-in and, during a workout, a "rest over" alert. You can change or turn each of these off under You → Reminders or in your phone's settings. They are created on your phone; no data is sent to external servers to schedule them. Whether a reminder was scheduled or opened is counted in App analytics as described above.
We do not sell or trade your personal data, and we do not "sell" or "share" personal information as those terms are defined in the California Consumer Privacy Act. Apart from the AI coach requests described above (processed by Google Firebase and Anthropic), app analytics (Google Analytics for Firebase, acting for us) and advertising (Google AdMob), we do not share it with third parties. The "Share Plan" feature and the workout summary card let you voluntarily share a plan or a picture of your workout (minutes, calories, muscles worked, streak) via your device's share menu — this is entirely user-initiated.
Your data is stored on your device, and uninstalling the app deletes it. If you use Backup & Sync, your backup stays in your account until you delete it in the app or request deletion. AI coach requests are not stored on our server after the reply is returned; the anonymous daily usage counters are kept for up to 30 days.
WobbleFit does not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13. The app is suitable for users of all ages.
Your data is stored locally on your device using the standard storage of Android or iOS. We recommend using your device's built-in security features (screen lock, encryption) to protect your data.
Most of your data never leaves your phone, so you control it directly. For data on our server (your backup), you can access, export (by restoring on another phone) and delete it in the app or at delete-account. Wherever you live, including California, you may also email us to ask what we hold or to have it deleted; we will not treat you differently for doing so.
We may update this privacy policy from time to time. Any changes will be reflected in the "Last updated" date above.
